Introduction
Lovau is a luxury fashion brand built around the Old Money aesthetic — crafting premium cashmere, vicuña, and ultrafine wool pieces for men and women who dress with intention. The brand had a strong product at its heart, but its visual identity hadn’t kept pace. The logo, color system, and typography no longer reflected the quiet sophistication and heritage-driven elegance that Lovau stood for. The task was a focused, high-impact rebrand — not a reinvention, but a refinement. Stripping back what didn’t belong and sharpening what did.
Challenge
Rebranding an existing luxury fashion label comes with a unique pressure — the identity needs to evolve without alienating the existing customer base, and it needs to feel like a natural progression rather than a departure. The Old Money aesthetic is unforgiving: it rewards restraint, penalises excess, and demands that every typographic choice, every color, and every mark feel considered and earned. The challenge was to redesign the logo and visual system in a way that felt more elevated than before — without losing the warmth and character that made the brand feel personal rather than corporate.

The rebrand was built around three guiding values: heritage, refinement, and understated elegance. Research into Old Money visual culture — think Ivy League crests, European couture houses, and the quiet confidence of generational wealth — shaped every decision. The logo was redesigned to carry more authority and timelessness, shedding anything that felt transient or trend-driven. The color system was refined around tones that speak to natural luxury — the hues of fine wool, aged leather, and coastal light. Typography was chosen with the same discipline: letterforms that feel inherited, not invented. The result is a brand that looks exactly as expensive as it is.
